Alice J. Burrow was born in Sullivan, West Virginia. Her entire life has been a testimony to perseverance. She dropped out of school in the 11th grade but went on to earn her GED, B.S. degree in Nursing, M.S. degree in Nursing and is a certified Psychotherapist.
Called at an early age to preach and pastor a church, she waited until her children were grown and out of the house before fulfilling the calling on her life. At an age when most were retiring, Overseer Burrow stepped forward on faith and started the church that the Lord impressed upon her to start. The neighborhood where the church is located immediately changed from a drug infested area to one where people are now able to walk the streets and sit on their property in peace.
Overseer Burrow’s pastoral style is motherly and edifying. God used her gifts to help mend many who were emotionally broken or struggling in some way. A prayer warrior, she is known to call everyone by name during prayer and the church as seen many manifestations of her prayers.
The church celebrated its 10th anniversary recently and it Overseer Burrow recognized that it was time to move to the next phase of the vision. Using her knowledge and training as a Psychotherapist, she is committed to putting together a comprehensive program that will mentor to women of all ages who are suffering from low self esteem. There will be a special segment that addresses young mothers who are emotionally distressed and/or displaced.
Knowing that she will be fully engaged in this project, Pastor Burrow decided it was time to elevate Minister Roy Burrow to Pastor and Minister/Prophetess Cathy Burrow-Green to Assistant Pastor.
